FAQ

Here you will find answers to some of the most common questions!

Will these gun models work in any game engine, such as Unity, Godot, etc?

Yep! They are included in the source files folder as standard FBX files, so you can import them into other game engines like Unity or Godot, as well as most 3D software.

Just keep in mind that the textures are exported with Unreal Engine in mind, so you might run into some issues in other engines, especially around things like normal map formats (e.g., OpenGL vs DirectX).

Are there any animations included?

No, the guns aren’t animated by default. However, the Blender source files include animation-friendly templates that make it easy to create your own.

There are also pre-made character idle poses included for each weapon, but they’re just static poses and not animated.

I don't use Blender. Can I still use these models?

Absolutely! The Blender files are included for customization, but you don't need them to use the models. The Unreal project comes with everything set up and ready to go, including models, textures, and materials, with everything already assigned.

If you prefer, you can also use the FBX files directly in other engines or 3D software.

Do these models come with sound effects or game code?

No, sound effects and game code aren’t included. You’ll need to add or create those yourself.

How do I open the source files after downloading?

After you download the files, just unzip or extract them using software like WinRAR or 7-Zip. Then you can open the Blender files, as long as you have Blender installed on your computer.

Will these models work with older versions of Unreal Engine?

The Unreal project is made to work with UE 5.0 and later. However, you should be able to manually import the FBX files into older versions of the engine. Keep in mind that this will require manual setup for materials, textures, and other assignments.

Can I get access to the original source files for the high-poly 3D models?

No, we don’t provide the raw high-poly sculpts or the layered texture project files.

Do you offer integration for these models into your FPS templates?

No, we don’t provide official integration with any of our systems or templates. While it’s possible to manually integrate the models, this process is up to you, and we can’t offer support for it.

Is it easy to create my own animations using the included Blender source files?

The source files come with a ready-made animation setup, so you don’t have to spend time rigging the character or guns. However, you will still need to create the animations yourself. How easy that is depends on your experience with animation and Blender. If you’re new to animation, it might be challenging at first.

That said, we have animation tutorials on our YouTube channel that can help you get started.

Can I create "true first person" animations with the Blender source files?

Yes, it’s technically possible to use the Blender animation setup to create full-body animations. You can enable the third-person character model in any of the first-person presets to animate the full body as seen from the character’s “eyes” (the camera is attached to the head bone by default).

However, since full-body animations aren’t supported by default, you’ll need to handle the manual adjustments yourself.
